Although 2D animation is not in the run these days, there have been some amazing 2D animated films in the time. Other than this all the animated movies that we watch are first created in 2D and later in 3D these are some of the best 2D movies of all time.
Aladdin
Aladdin is a 1992 American animated musical fantasy film produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation and released by Walt Disney Pictures. Aladdin is a beloved character and is one of the most loved animated cartoon that is watched by people all around the globe. Aladdin created its benchmark with the amazing animation techniques inculcated in it and the amount of craft that was fed by the animators.
Spirited away
Spirited Away is a 2001 Japanese anime fantasy film written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki and produced by Studio Ghibli. In this animated feature by noted Japanese director Hayao Miyazaki, 10-year-old Chihiro (Rumi Hiiragi) and her parents (Takashi Naitô, Yasuko Sawaguchi) stumble upon a seemingly abandoned amusement park. After her mother and father are turned into giant pigs, Chihiro meets the mysterious Haku and the journey begins.
The Little Mermaid
Who hasn’t heard of the little mermaid. This movie stole hearts all over the place and created its magic in the hearts of the people by its beautiful animation. The animators have put in a lot of effort in the entire making of the film. The animation of the little mermaid is excellent in the sense that it received positive acclaim for its work and for its technical detailing as well.
Mulan
Mulan is a 1998 American animated musical action-dramedy film produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation based on the Chinese legend of Hua Mulan. Young Mulan is distraught to learn that her weak father must join the army to fight the invading Huns. Not wanting to endanger his life, she gets into a disguise and joins the army in his place. Mulan’s storyline along with its animation combined made the best animated pack ever.
Beauty and the beast
It is an adaptation of the Disney fairy-tale about a monstrous prince and a young woman who fall in love. The film has been both in 2D and 3D. But the earlier version was in 2D and it received love and appreciation from a wide range of audience across the globe. The film has a very catchy story-line in addition to its amazing animation coordinates.
